  • H1Z1

H1Z1 places you in a server full of zombies and survivors (who almost always kill you on sight) where you'll have to scavenge for supplies, pick berries to eat, chop wood to build yourself a hut and craft all manner of survival supplies to keep yourself alive... or you can just pay for an air drop and kit yourself out with high tech weaponry and military food rations and own the server until you run out of bullets. Yes, while the developers may protest and deny it, H1Z1 is hideously...

    Bethesda Advocates for whale hunting.

You know, because of all the whale oil (gets coat)

So in our increasing attempt to regurgitate information that you have already read on other, less reputable, gaming sites, I'm sure you are ASTOUNDED to re-read about how really rather awesome stealth game Dishonoured officially has a sequel.
How this failed to ignite imaginations in the same way as Bioshock or call of Duty I will never know.
But it must have done well enough.
    Hopefully there will be...

  • The Bard Rides again!

    The Bard Rides again!

So over 28 000 people have pushed the kickstarter over its target so the first game in the series since 1988 (cough cough ahem) is a go with an expected release of 2017.
    So 2018 then.

All "backers" who pledge $20 or more (approx. £15) do get a copy of the game which will most likely retail for $45 (approx. £35).
Though Wasteland and Pillars could be found for around the £10 mark (perfectly legally) within a few weeks...

BAN THIS SICK FILTH:- The Marvellous Miss Take.

    The Marvellous Miss Take
    Will it never end.
I thought my work here was done, I thought that I had successfully educated you people to see the world of hatred and bigotry that surrounds us.
    I was wrong.
You know, you think that things are getting better when men are taking their wives surnames (because wives taking their husbands name is oppressive and patriarchal) and then you play a game like “The Marvellous Miss...

  • Yup, you are going to get sick of this.

Yup, you are going to get sick of this.

So the Bards Tale kickstarter (currently standing at 1 140 000 of its 1 250 000 target with 30 days to go) have announced that anyone backing over $20 will be given standalone emulated versions of the first three games (I.E, The Bards tale, The Bards Tale II and The Bards Tale III, NOT the not all bad but ultimately rather forgettable Bards Tale from 2004).
Whilst I certainly could not, in all conscious, rave about these games to anyone who has never played them (they are older...

First Bards Tale IV in game footage.

Ancient RPG "The Bards Tale" revival continues apace with its kickstarter campaign now at $965 000 of its 1 250 000 target (and with 36 days to go, it seems all but confirmed that this is a go ahead) and InXile have released the first in engine footage.
To quote the press release :-

"We finally put the finishing touches on the video for The Bard’s Tale IV In-Engine Video. The biggest question we get is how we plan to bring the genre forward, and this

  • Invisible, Inc.

    Invisible, Inc.

Invisible Inc is a turn based tactical game similarly created in the style of X-COM, but With emphasis put more towards stealth and subtlety, I find it personally plays more alike to games such as Metal Gear Solid. It's a pretty bold move to try and meld the stealth and subtlety aspect of action-adventure real time games and create a turn based tactical game out of it, but the developers Klei Entertainment manage to pull it off remarkably well.

    The game...

    A Toxikk Giveaway [Ended]

It's no secret I think FPS games were at their peak back in the days of UT99, so I have some copies of this up for grabs.

So for your chance to win all you have to do is come up with your best bullshit quote based around gaming.

  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

    The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Not going to bother posting screenshots here, the game looks fantastic. It's a beautiful looking game even when graphics settings are on medium. The story is fantastic, the music is fantastic, the lore is fantastic, the world is large and beautiful (though it is cut up in to chunks separated by loading screens because consoles lol), the side quests are pretty good too and the voice acting, if not the best I've ever heard, is more than ample.

So why on earth am I going to tell you that...

    Ban this Sick Filth
Ahh the nineties. The Nineteen Nineties that is. You know its hard to have to capitulate to a double digit record of time when your lifespan crosses the millennial divide, but I digress.
The nineties, officially the greatest decade in the history of ever, and as we all know, all the greatest games were created then.
Thief. Baldurs Gate. Civilisation. Putty Squad. X-Com. Many of these games are currently enjoying a revival, like X-Com others...
