    Personally, I think the two main problems VR needs to conquer first are the cables, and the price.
    I mean, I'm in a position where I can throw down £700 on a toy, but had a long hard think about spending half that!
    Until that comes down it's never getting into most peoples homes.

      htc are working on wireless, and oculus are working on a self contained unit. But both will probably be stupidly expensive

        They have announced a wireless adapter for the new and old, probably be expensive as it it based on 60ghz band WiFi by Intel, the routers using that band (ones designed for g fast internet) are few and far between and generally the very top end, still don't get why they require that when a gigabit WiFi on the 5ghz band should be more than fast enough.
