Just a couple of days left to get your entries in if you want to take part.

So to get some interest and as an incentive to those who are thinking about writing something I am running a competition for a Kickstarter copy of Carmageddon Reincarnation, this key Includes the Beta/Early access and Full game key for Steam, Access to a DRM free version of the final game, VIP Steam DLC key, The Red Eagle Car Model and some wallpapers.

All you need to do to win is post the best article you can over the next 2 weeks, this can be about anything game/hardware related and you can post multiple Articles over the time period and they will all be considered, on the 21st of July I will pick a selection of the better articles and place a vote on the site to pick a winner, if you have one article you are particularly proud of over this time you can nominate that one to be your main entry.

In the interest in helping this I have made a small tutorial of what do (outside normal posting options)

from here just type in your article the way you would a normal post then select to post it, unless you are masterflaw you won't be able to select to publish the article, but if you post it anyway, I will get notified of your article and post it to the main page.

Competition ends the 20th of July followed by a vote on either the 20th or 21st that will be open for at least a week to pick a winner

      Great Idea...
I'm going to sit this one out as I do it purely for the fact that I'd post anyway.
So any article posted by me is exempt Belimawr.

No problem masterflaw, at the moment I'm just using what I have available to me, can hopefully keep on top of finding things to give away.

Not many people made an article, do you think they just don't care for Carmageddon or what? That big mouth Dayve should write something.

My article was pretty basic, I may try and make another one, it's difficult to think of something that may interest people though in a relevant gaming sort of way, especially when they simply can visit other gaming sites. I may do one on Endless Legend and Wasteland, since I read a disappointing article on the first that didn't really complement the game as much as it should have.

I still don't know how to put the image on the front of the article section by the way.

Do you wanna build a post apocalyptic city set in the aftermath of an unknown worldwide calamity which has plunged the world into another ice age?

    C’mon let’s go and play.

Frostpunk is a small scale city builder with a steampunk aesthetic.

Starting with a small band of survivors, you must forge a path in this increasingly hostile environment to ensure the survival of mankind, well for approximately a month. Apparently that’s all the time you need to...

Well here in the UK, as winter throws one final attempt to solve the pension crisis at us (claims that the government have know for a month about the cold snap, but saw it as an opportunity to cull old people remain unsubstantiated), many have retreated to the warmth and safety of their gaming systems to keep them distracted, and hopefully prevent excessive burden on maternity services up and down the country come November.

And, of course, more gaming means

Accurately reviewing big budget high strategy games is hard.
Well it’s not digging coal out of the bowels of hell hard, but it certainly ranks up there with flicking yourself off to Holly Willoughby after you have packed the kids off to school.
These games take a huge amount of investment in time even to scratch the surface, and flaws can go completely unnoticed for weeks until one day you suddenly notice the AI is fucked and

So as January comes to a close, the weather starts to take a turn for the better and we all wonder if the "holiday weight" we acquired last month should more accurately be described as "weight" I take time away from my very busy schedule to help another batch of poor misguided souls.
    Your Welcome.

Well it’s that time of the year when we take our annual (cough, ahem ¬¬) look, not at the gaming industry, not at the progress made in gaming culture, but far more importantly what we ourselves have actually spent the last year doing, instead of something far more constructive which might actually enrich our lives, or at the very least get us some vitamin D.
Luckily, you lot have been very considerate this year and I only have seven pages to go through instead of the average 15
