Already getting the viagra out to sweeten the wife. That is the down side to being a house husband, the woman really does control the purse strings.

Don't let her oppress you Cartoon Head, you have just as much right to spend the household budget as she does, after all, if you were not maintaining the home, she could not pursue her career!
Don't let the oppressive shitlord maintain her matriarchal privilege to push you into the position of domestic slave.
Clearly if she stops you from buying "Elite:-Dangerous", its an example of domestic abuse, which would result in a custodial sentence.
So really you have no choice BUT to buy it.
      To save her from prison.
Its a tough sacrifice, but its one you will have to make.

I am in total agreement. I am not just a piece of meat I am a person with feeling and with human rights.....

I shouldn't have to put up with scraps of the steam sales and crappy indie bundle filler. I need some AAA games in my life. How she expects me to clean the house every day with just 520 games in my Steam library borders on abuse.

I've not played Witcher III (got to get through 1 and 2 first!) but Elite is awesome. That said, a joystick does add to the experience (though you can use keyboard and controller)

Witcher is a decent game, but end of the day it's just another open world RPG, the only thing really good about it is the eye candy so if you have an older PC it's probably just going to be skyrim 2.0

Yeah, thats what I figured. Played one, they are all pretty much the same, plus if it goes the same way as the 1st two it will be under a fiver by crimbo.

I opted for Elite, as I don't have many space games (Darkstar One and Battle for Sol being the only 2 as I recall since I got perma banned from EVE in my first week).

how the fuck did you get banned from EVE? it's a game where being a dickhead is a valid choice of playstyle.

Apparently offering 10 Plex for someones real life address is against the terms and conditions. Some cunt who has more time on his hands than sense was trolling me and I bit. Kept putting incriments of 60m isk bounty on my head, so effectively fucked up my career before it even began by making me a kill on sight target. I was still on the tutorial ships so progression was never going to happen, so i tried to get his personal details in view to fucking him up somehow.

A bit silly looking back, but at the time I had been off my meds for a few days so mood was terrible already and zero sense of humour.

if it was that early in the game I would have just scrapped the char and started over clean.

Perma ban i thought would be hardware ban or IP ban or something, didn't want to pay money only to get banned again cause of that. A shame cause I was starting to get into the game at that point after about 5 trial accounts over the years it was starting to stick. Ah well.

I hated eve. Just never got into it. Never even got past the tutorials. It was such a dull clusterfuck of a prettied up spreadsheet that when my ship flew through an asteroid without it even registering I uninstalled and never went back.

EVE would have been more fun if they had direct control.

Which is what I am hoping Elite will be, sort of. Without the mining. I never played the original and all the gameplay vids leave me still sort of clueless, but I managed to get out of the hangar without too much difficulty and basic flying about, controls feel nice especially the looking about the cabin. Will have to watch the tutorial vids before I carry on though, it looks pretty deep.
