The fucking horrendous jungle music my neighbour's 15 year old son plays until 5am. You know the kind of music young lads and young men listen to to make people think they're hard? Like Eminem? You hear it blasting out of their cars when they stop at lights. They think they're impressing people but they're not. They look like cunts because they are cunts. When I'm in charge anybody caught listening to that sort of thing will be shot in the eyeball.

see you complain about Eminem but from a technical level and the way he does some of his "songs" is really well done.

you cant really beat the likes of this...

then if you just want to go for a show of ability you have.

Eminem isn't that bad.. he's nothing special though, far more talented rap artists out there.

Isn't "Talented rap artist" an oxymoron?

you could say that of most bands/singers as they just basically follow a script from someone else, then it can be retuned in a back room, the difference with rap is the ability to do the speed comes entirely from the person performing it.

You're not a fan I take it, JackRabbit? Nothing wrong with Rap, there is a lot of shit rap music out there though, but there are a few exceptions.

Rap is to music what the GCSE is to education.

not really, there is more technical skill behind rap and setting up a narrative, most other music now is just auto tuned to hell, this was shown a few years back when they gave some of the best "live" artists the same tech as the Beatles had and asked them to rerecord Beatles songs. the results were terrible at best as without the computer out back most singers are incapable of actually singing.

hell it's why when the BBC done a show for Frank Sinatra they plugged it with Seth MacFarlane since everyone knows a voice actor is the obvious choice over all those singers out there, so it really shows how easy it must be to sing when they use someone and plug it heavily despite him not actually being a singer.

In fairness, some rap artists are very talented, but the vast majority of them really are just shit.
The ration of shit to talented rap artists is even greater than X factor creates.
And X factor has never produced a talented artist.
Its simply just very bad (and I mean sub 6 form level) rhyming, whilst poncing around in a sleeveless shirt with some naked woman hanging off your arm.
Quite frankly its more upsetting that this is, statistically, the best way of getting out of the ghetto.

See that's the thing Eminem has shown in the past he could do the whole singing in a boy band thing to the same level as the "big" names, but it always came back to why would he when he can be something different.

But then rap gets called for being simple but since you bring up crap factor surely if rap was easy there would be way more people trying to get through on it, but they won't as there is more challenge in keeping rhythm and pace in rap music, than there is in a song where they just claim it as a "reinterpretation" meaning they can slide by while not actually need to meet the talent of the original singer.
