Yeah, Joy Division, Editors and Interpol came to mind also. They do the "Rains of Castamere" Song also better known as the Lannisters song.

"If you leave me now, can I fuck your sister?"

"You must die, I alone am best!! "

And my favourite track of all time, the stalker vibe in this fan made video is epic

And since we are on about Mike Patton, another favourite of mine

            Criminally underrated, a musical genius.

            And one for nostalgia

Sorry for the necro. I just wanted to say that I have become a Jay-Z sheeple and am thoroughly enjoying lossless audio via Tidal.

                I have one of these:

                http://www.amazon.co.uk/AudioQuest-1...dp/B00H00VLZQ/

                and a pair of these:

                http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-H...dp/B001UE6I0G/

and listening to my ipod is suddenly a bit of a flat experience.

IPod stuff has never been that great for sound, they are just popular as famous people wave them around.

It's a DAC (Digital to Analogue converter). I think it also acts as a headphone amp as well. It bypasses your PC sound card and plays higher quality music files more at the detail level that it was intended to be listened to. There are more expensive ones of course, but it got recommended by What Hifi.

To be fair though, FLAC albums are expensive and the catalogue isn't great. Tidal has 25 million songs but to listen to the higher quality stuff the sub is £20 a month.

FATM? That's not even close to an acronym of Take That.

Interesting. I didn't realise that TIdal did FLAC albums either.

Also, I've just picked up my guitar again after an extended hiatus, so I'm currently listening to some inspiration.

to be fair you don't need a DAC to get good sound, there are some good high end sound cards out there as well, ASUS Xense was actually made with Sennheiser but it has since been somewhat discontinued with the Essence line taking over the top end.
